I agree with gognads, my 97 Taurus radio stopped working whenever the car was in reverse, and it turned out to be the Transmission Range Sensor, which makes no sense at all, but fixed the problem.

The Taurus will also display strange symptoms if the battery is getting weak, such as problems with the power windows or the key fob remote control.

2002 Honda tcs light stays on until engin gets hot

99to 2004 odyssey had problem with TCS solenoid
The solenoid screen that adjust and filters during shifts becomes clogged. After prolonged use( about the time you notice bad shifting) the filter is already clogged. It will throw a TCS light. Typical symptoms are bad acceleration, poor shifting ( typically 1-3 gear), hard shifting( banging when changing gears and hard shifting when putting it in drive. The issue goes away after the trans has cooled but comes back as the temp rises. change the trans fluid and then put new solenoid so it won't get clogged again, but there is chance ,your trans is on it's last leg, when you change the fluid, run the old fluid through paper towel and see how much debris from clutch material is on towel and, if there is any metal particle on towel, that is sign of bad transmission

No electrical power

My guess is the trans won't shift because of no power. There is a safety switch that is activated by the brake lights...no power means no lights and no lights means no shifting. Solve the power issue and you should have the trans working again.

For power it's time to get a probe and start at square 1. Battery? Have you tested it? Cables solid and CLEAN? These get overlooked a lot. Electrical is a hard one to solve over the net. But they are not hard to solve...just can be time consuming.

When u press the gas pedal to hard the transmission shifts really hard

When the peddle is pressed really hard the trans is supposed to increase the shift firmness. The problem may be that the engine has some power problem which makes the trans look like the problem. If the engine is not operating correctly power wise hard shifting will occur.
If the car has a trans shift cable and it is adjusted incorrectly it will also shift hard. If the trans has vacuum modulator that is out of adjustment or going bad it will also shift hard. Many trans shops will test drive it for free so let the trans shop advise you for free and save some time.

92 prelude si (auto)

With normal acceleration the 1st to second shift point should be around 2500-3000 rpm. Most of your shifts under moderate acceleration will take place at this same point or when there a light load on the transmission. Under hard acceleration the RPMs will climp higher due to increased power needs and the computer will shift when less power is needed or the RPMs climb to an unsafe speed say5000-6000rpms (depending on where yours redlines). Also going up a steep hill will raise the RPMs higher and goind down a hill will cause a faster shift at lower RPMs. These can always be altered by an individual owner by adjusting shift points, using performance parts and if you have problems (low tranny fluid/trans issues). Your trans RPMS are fine and will vary depening on how your foot accelerates. The shift pattern should be the same every time you drive slow/medium/fast/, look for changes in those patterns you will also catch a problem early.

Ect power?

The ECT button stand for Electronically Controlled Transmission. In short, what the button does is change the upshift points for the auto trans. Normally, the 1-2 upshift is at 15-19 mph, pressing the button changes the shift mph form 15-19 to 19-22/23. More often than not, this feature wiooould be used if you are hauling a heay load, and the ECT gets you up to speed faster, via the longer time as mentioned above re the shift mphs. Not very useful with normal driving, it really does not do much without a heavy load.
