My acura mdx door wont close. After driving i simply got out and when i went to shut the door, it banged on the latch and the door bounced back open (almost like having the seat belt in the way of the door). Didn't do anything different with the vehicle today. Not sure what caused this or how to fix it. Any advice appreciated
THE DOOR CATCH HAS A DOUBLE "C" THAT HOLDS THE DOOR CLOSED. FIRST TAKE A SCREWDRIVER INSIDE THE "C". USING THE HANDLE ON THE INSIDE, PULL THE HANDLE AS IF YOU WERE OPENING THE DOOR AND AT THE SAME TIME, OPEN THE DOUBLE "C" WITH THE SCREWDRIVER. I HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. Thank you for posting this. On my 2009 MDX all I had to do was use the exterior door handles like I was opening the door. I appreciate having a place to start!
