Where is the trottle position senser located on my 1995 Ford F-250

the intake air temp is used to richen up the mixture if intake air drops below 38 degrees , yes it could go bad (any sensor can) if truck has large amount of black smoke when starting cold then it's possible ,of course im assuming you have learned this from a cpu fault memory dump ? if not thats where id start !! before i bought any sensors , the problem you describe is more soundign like ign fault than fuel fault

Check for any brolen wires around the abs senser. and double check for a speed senser on the trany/transfercase.

All throttle position sensors, have to be on the throttle body,
on order for the computer to recognize throttle position & convert
to throttle plate angle %

Any code you get, on an OBD2 System, doesn't mean to change parts

The codes are used to follow manufactures charts, to diagnose
the code fault, somewhere in one of the vehicles systems

On all vehicles if you follow the air intake, from the filter to the
intake manifold,you get to the throttle body

Given your question,I suggest you leave the diagnosing to
an experienced person

On 1995 Chevrolet Beretta 2.2L SFI OHV 4cyl the Crankshaft Position Sensor is located under hood, passenger side, rear engine area,mounted on engine under intake manifold.

trottle position sensor is on the trottle body opposite the throttle cable

here are illustrations of the CKP (crankshaft position) sensor in 2.3L and 3.0L.

Note: In the bottom of the 2.3L drawing says Trottle Position (TP) Sensor, this is wrong, It should say CKP Sensor.


2.3L Engine


The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located to the left of the crankshaft pulley.

3.0L Engine


The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located just behind the crankshaft pulley on engine block.
