All BMW's have spare fuses near or in the fuse box, so they are not in any circuit, only the ones in a row or two are actively protecting from shorts. If you are having a problem with a specific circuit all BMW's have fuse chart in cover of fuse boxes, whether under dash or in trunk area, so if you have a short, check the fuse for that circuit. There are too many fuses to guess at.

Most fuses are very difficult to remove by hand from an auto fuse box.
There is usually a plastic fuse puller either clipped to the fuse box cover or on the fuse panel itself (usually the inside fuse panel - if you are trying to pull one from the the fuse panel under the hood and you don't see a puller, look in the fuse box in the interior of you Sable).
If you don't have a fuse puller, try a set of electronics tweezers or standard tweezers. Good luck!
in order to remove a fuse from a fuse box, there is a plastic tool called a fuse puller, it looks like a pair of tweezers, if this doesn't work, you can use a small screwdriver to pry out the fuse on 1 end in order to finsih pulling it out, be careful and try not to bust the fuse, if so , then replace it.
hi the fuse box is located under the dash drivers side below steering wheel the is a pull off panel under there you will find the fuses, and to remove them if it is still there you will find a pair of plastictweezer type tool which you use to pull out the fuses oe if it is not there just use your fingers, there also is a small fuse box under the bonnet/hood near battery...hope this helps
should be a plastic set of little tweezers,or pliers in fuse box lid or use nail tweezers or tiny screw driver to pry up from the side of the fuse...gently!!!
Fuses & RelaysThe fuse box is located under the engine hood on the left side, near the upper strut housing or near the battery. Various relays are also mounted on the fuse box for easy accessibility.
Flashers The flashers are located behind the bottom center of the lower instrument trim panel.
I don't know where exactly in you car they are but they are on the drivers side. Check in the kick panel on the bottom or on the dash, there should be some cover you can remove. It should say fuses or something. On the cover it'll let you know which fuse is which. If the fuses are good is most likely blown headlights. But its unusual for all to go out at the same time. Sounds like you may have a short-circuit. And yes you can just change them out.
