I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and broke the passenger side mirror. It is still attached and the power still works to move the mirror. But the glass is cracked. Where can I purchase, just the glass mirror (not the entire housing) and is it easy to install myself?

If you go to a parts house, they can order you a mirror face for around 10 to 15 dollars. It simply sticks to the mirror that is broken with adhesive. It is very permanent and if the mirror is still working and in tact mostly (only broken glass part) it should fix you right up. Look at autozone, oreillys, or even JC Whitney or Pep Boys for example. Been there Done that! :-)Hope that helps.. Thanks!

I did the same with my 05 Civic and was shocked at how cheap it was at the dealer to get replaced. Unlike some brands(Ford), Honda will sell you just the glass. Seems like mine cost about $10.

Is it easy to fix a 95 honda odyssey wing mirror? What to i need to do? Or is it easier just to replace the glass in the mirror ?

If your reason for changing the mirror is simply that the glass is broken then it is easy to change the glass. Remove all the glass and glue from the casing and use a silicon based adhesive on the back of the new glass. Put it into place and using a small block of wood or plastic as a spacer tape around the mirror case and gass. Use electrical tape and stretch it a bit. Put 2 or 3 wraps. Leave it on for 24 hours and then you should be good.
You should also be able to get the procedure done at a local glass repair shop. I had one replaced a few years ago for around $20. It would be more expensive if you wanted the glass for the passenger side that is curved. Hope this helps.

Passenger side window in 2004 Honda Odyssey: The cable is no longer connected to the rail. Where does the cable reattach to the rail? It's hard to see inside the frame of the door.

This tells me the regulator is broken, the cable may have poped or a plastic wheel guide broke, you will need to replace the regulator, heres a picture to help explain what i'm talking about,fb9a2c2.jpg

Replace side passenger mirror 2000 Honda Odessy Van EX

You need to remove the internal door panel, then you can see the screw to remove the side mirror. Sometime you need to remove the glass before you can reach the screw.

Can I replace broken driver side external door mirror to a 1996 honda Odyssey

Hello. yes. These parts are commonly replaced whether you need just the glass mirror or the entire mirror assembly. You can order new or you could contact a junk yard and hopefully get used.

I need to replace the passenger side mirror on my 2004 Honda Odyssey. I am replacing the whole unit not just the glass. It is a power mirror. How do I do it?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and the mirror. Then you can access the bolts securing the mirror onto the door....

Need to replace the passenger side mirror, glass only. does anybody know if the plastic backing plate the mirror is attached to pops out of the holder? If it does, it would make it easier to fit the new...

Just replaced the mirror glass myself. Don't have all the answers but can tell you this much.

The passenger side mirror on my 2004 Odyssey was hit by a projectile which caromed off the upper door frame. Left standing was a functional mirror base (motor driven part which has four, short, horizontally mounted rods) still attached to the mirror shroud and a separate assembly of the mirror glass and plastic mount.

I purchased the mirror glass alone online from a Honda dealer, removed the old mirror glass from the mount, and mounted the new mirror to the mount. To do this, look at the tabs which hold the mirror to the mount, and slide the mirror across the mount in the obvious direction. It will take some force. I had the benefit of having the mount/mirror glass blown out of the mirror shroud so it wasn't too difficult. If the broken mirror is still mounted to the mount and inside the shroud, push the bottom of the mirror inward so the top edge of the mirror can clear the top of the shroud. Then pull up on the mirror glass to slide it off the mount. This will take some force but fortunately, the mirror glass is already broken so you don't have to be gentle. Wear gloves or protect you hands while doing this.

Reverse the process for install the new mirror glass.

Now for my key tip. I had to remount the plastic mount/mirror glass assembly onto the motorized mirror base. I could see that it snapped in, with proper alignment, by pushing straight in. I applied quite a bit of force and simply could not get it to snap in place. My solution, was to put the assembly in a 200F oven for 15 minutes to heat the plastic to make it more flexible. Using paper towels to handle to avoid burns, I aligned the closures with the four, small, horizontally mounted rods, and with a moderate amount of force, the assembly snapped into place.

Hope this makes sense. I believe most people will only have broken mirror glass and not have the plastic mount with mirror glass come off the motorized base as I did.
