Try turning the air ride compressor off and letting it go all the way down then turn it back on and see if it fixes it. the switch is either on the right hand kick panel or in the cargo area. if this does not fix it but the vehicle does lift up it is more than likely the level sensor causing the problem it is attached to the suspension.

My 1998 lincoln mark 8 rear is too high, wont come back down. why is the rear too high?

There should be a level switch in the rear of the car.The connector may have come unplugged,or filled with water.or maybe the switcch is bad.Or,it could be as simple as a disonnected or broken link arm at the switch.

Air suspension bags are probably leaking. air comp shuts off after 3 minutes because its working to hard. since bags are leaking rear than sags. This car has bags instead of shocks in rear. light comes on when comp turns it self off.

Jaguar xjr. Air suspension fault highlighted.

I too have this problem. Another problem I have is that there is a rubbing noice when I turn the wheel. It sounds like it it coming from the right front wheel and I can hear it particularly when I am parking or making a sharp turn.

The rear suspension is down on my 1999 Ford Expedition - Eddie Bauer. The cause: while out in the woods I came across a small dip which cause my back left wheel to lift off the ground. The suspension...

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.

Bouncy is front end

The front suspension, is not air managed. If the front end is bouncing , replace the front strut/shock units. Hope this helps

Rear air suspension holding air not venting, staying up to high

The air suspension uses the same vent solenoid to vent front so that will be ok. The problem will either be the rear height sensor which mounts on/near left side of rear axle. Or the air suspension module itself.
I would suspect it is the rear height sensor, the link may have come unhooked or it may be sticking or just bad.
