Please check owners manual for testing or resetting your key-less entry. Knowing the year and model will always save time. If you have time watch this youtube vid for 2016`s How to Use the 2016 Honda Fit Key Fob I hope this helps you!
where is the fuse for the remote central locking in a mini one (2001) as I have changed the battery in the key fob and still not working. Can it be reset?. it has 2 button and not 3 on the key fob. Could the problem be a fuse that stops the actuator in the door from working?
I had a problem where my key fob did not lock or unlock the car, Renault Clio Dynamique, but the central locking button in the car did still work and engine turned over fine. Changed the key fob battery still nothing. Read online about disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery, (negative only) and hey presto it worked! All working fine now!
depending on the type of security system, it is sometimes necessary to re-sync the keyfob to the car after a flat battery on the car or the fob. this is normally just a matter of turning the key to the IGN position and pressing the button on the key fob. you may have to hold the button for a second or two but this will normally re-sync the system.
if it does not work then you will have to sent more detailed information on the security system. ie factory fitted or aftermarket system with make and type (normally found on the siren unit under the bonnet.
Hi I wonder if you can advise me ,my central locking and alarm is very unreliable it keeps making a beep before the ignition goes on and clicking,it sometimes sets the alarm off,Ive had the AA round and theyve told me the car battery is dead, which I appreciate, but think the key hub central locking or alarm is running the battery low does the hand held button need a new battery,or can I take the fuse out for the central locking, dont want to pay 66 quid for a new battery if I can pay 2 quid for a new battery for the central locking button,or demobilize it
