Testimonial: "Thanks for your answer. 159ft-lbs seems a bit high. I only say this because 1990 Honda Integra 1.8L is 130ft-lbs. Maybe because of bigger engine."

All i need is torque specs for 1990 honda accord 2.2 f22a 4 cyl. valve cover

Go on your computer in your browser and type in '1990 Honda Accord 2.2 4 cylinder head bolts torque specifications'. You will get back the engine bolt layout with the bolts numbered with the torque specs. You tighten the bolts according to the numbers of the bolts in the order starting with number 1 and working to the highest number.

Crank shaft harmonic balencer bolt

THe Harmonic balanced bolt is loosened by turning it counter clockwise. It is recommended that you get the special tool to hold the harmonic pulley stationary while the bolt is loosened or tightened. However the bolt can be loosened if you use an impact socket and a very strong breaker bar and place it against a strong part of the frame and just bump the engine over very carefully with the high voltage coil wire disconnected so that the engine won't start when you bump it over with the starter and make sure the socket and the breaker bar are very secure when doing this. I recently bought the special Honda wrench from Snap-On tools and it works great for this, but it's very expensive but it's the only way to hold the Harmonic Pulley sufficiently in order to tighten it back to the recommended torque. Which can be several hundred ft pounds, see the service manual for the exact torque.

Honda accord ex 92

Crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) removal- disconnect neg battery cable, remove belts, it would be a good idea to soak the bolt w/ penetrating oil overnight, there is a special 'crankshaft pulley holding tool' available to secure the pulley while removing and installing the bolt. Some parts stores loan tools for free if u purchase parts from them, I don't know if this is available, but it would be worth checking out. Attach holding tool and remove bolt securing pulley. Carefully remove pulley from crankshaft, Do NOT pry off. Remove key from crankshaft sprocket,
Install: install key on crankshaft sprocket, slide pulley on, apply clean oil to bolt threads but NOT to washer contact surfaces, secure crankshaft w/ holding tool, tighten to 159 ft lbs (91-93 Accord), install belts, re-attach neg cable.

Harmonic balancer - honda 2.2 liter

hey
Remove the bolt in the crankshaft then use a puller to remove the rest of the balancer. Sometimes they come off without a puller.
