Ran out of gas in saturn vue, now it appears that the battery disconnected and the car wont start?

My vue wont start and the battery is good and my alarm system wont stop...

Might be pass key issue. You didn't say if it ran before new batt and alt?

Sounds like your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve may not be functioning properly, although not at all related to a battery change.

Are you getting a check engine light? If yes, then take it to any auto-parts store for a free scan to determine any fault.

Most newer automobiles like your Vue cannot jump start another car because of the circuit protection built into the SUV.
You must disconnect your battery in order to jump start another car with the battery you have otherwise it will to allow you to jump start anything.
This could lead to your own Vue having a drained battery..
Most would recommend a battery eliminator that is available at most auto stores for this type of situation.

sounds like a throttle sensor fault do to the fact that the saturn vue doesnt idle at 500 normally its uaually between 600-800. i suggest getting it hooked to a diagnostic machine to find wat the codes are cause im sure it will be several.

you may have to replace body control module, I had to tow my 2002 saturn vue v6 about two years ago to the dealer approx $500.

Disconnect the battery wait 10 minutes, then reconnect it.

I know it might sound funny, but jump it. I have found if they dont get enough power won't start. they can turn over but dont start...
