Can't get to battery on 94 525i. I believe it is under the back seat but cannot remove the seat.

The battery is under the drivers seat. Move the entire seat forward but sliding the leaver at the front bottom of the seat (as you would to adjust the seat) and push the whole seat as forward as you can and then wind the actual seat back forward (dial on the door side of the seat back). Pull up the plastic trim and unscrew the metal capping. Under there you will find the battery and also, what I think is, the overflow container for the radiator.

The battery is under the back seat. I stand in the middle of the back seat area and pull up on the seat to remove it. Then carefully remove the battery clamps negative first. Remove the battery hold down bolts and lift the battery out.

The battery is located under the back seat .

In order to access the battery, have to pull the seat portion up and out toward the back of the front seat.

There are 2 little black flat points about 3 inches wide that slip behind the back part of the rear seat backs. It is kind of like a up and out motion. The battery is large and heavy.

You might need to take out the seat completely in order to get to the battery. If you have heated rear seats there is small connection you may need to disconnect to free up the seat for removal. Simply disconnect it. It is a wire length connection on the rear passenger side close to the exit door threshold.

The battery has a rubber type hold down,but the the real securing point is the plastic block that is bolted down.


You have to remove the block with a socket to release the battery completely.


Seat goes back in that same motion just slip the black points under the back of the seat and push back and then down.

I believe the Buick body style is the same for the years 2000 to 2005. The battery for my 2000 Buick LeSabre is under the back seat.

Its on passenger side under rear seat cushion. Get in back seat FACING rear seatback, grab under lip of bottom seat cushion, and pull straight up. Disconnect seat heater connector (if so equipped) on passenger side and remove seat bottom. Tada! There ya go! Oh... btw. Its a $150 battery due to the venting system designed into it to vent fumes through a tube to the outside world. Thanks Cadillac!!! :(

It's under the back seat on passenger side. Give the end of the seat a good upward yank and it will pop up

I believe it is located under the front seat. To access it, locate the trim panel at the base of the seat. Remove it carefully and you'll see the front seat attachment bolts. Remove the bolts and tip the seat back. You'll then see the battery cover and you'll have access to the battery.
