Dear, i have a mercedes 230 c (1997) with american options... the internal light has just swiched off and it is unable to be lighted again...it must light when open any door, or pressing the light button inside the cabin .. or when i open the car using the remote... i have checked the fuse set.. they are all working... could you please advise me how to check the problem? ... noting that the light was been working since 1 week only !

    dear...i have checked the same... but nothing is wrong...
    something i would like to bring to your notice...
    when you are connecting any lamp to the battery... you must have + & - lines...
    in my case... i am checking the two lines... and both of them are +
    i mean that the lamp is getting two + lines, that's why it is not working...

Hello,good day,fuse is ok as you check,try to check your bulb,your door switch need also tobe check or try to remove the cover of your internal or dome light,try to check the electrical connection,battery voltage and ground supply should be present when your door is open,if not,check wiring for continuity,ty

Sounds like you have a speed sensor problem. Possibly input or output shaft speed sensor on transmission. You will need to find out what fault codes are being set and proceed from there.

2009 c-class auto stalling when stopping?
Throttle sensor on the engine is the only thing that would cause this to happen.Have it checked or do a diagnostic yourself with a code tester.Get the code and look in your manual for that code.The engine management/check engine light will always come on after a stall when swich is still on.Comes on when you turn the swich on at startup also does it not.Computers ya know.

I have a mercedes a160 petrol auto and when i try to start it the ignition lights dont come on and car wont start if i turn the key on and off a few times the ignition lights then come on and it starts...
souns like the electrical part of the ignition swich is worn out. replace this swich under the ignitionkey and will be as before. good luck

My Mercedes ML 270 cdi ABS etc lights and gearbox.
  • you need a Brake safety switch replaced.This is located behind you brake pedal.it's a common problem. The warning lights will reset after a few engine starts.
