Your car has a hydraulic clutch. Hydraulic clutches are not adjustable. If you are having clutch issues, it could be the clutch is just worn out. But it could be your slave cylinder or master cylinder for the clutch is bad, or it is out of fluid. Check the reservoir and see if your fluid is gone. If the fluid is all gone, you can add fluid but you will probably need to crawl under the car and bleed the slave cylinder.

EPA mileage figures are estimates, and seldom does it have anything to do with the real world, My new car is rated at 19 city and 28 hiway, it gets 22 MPG max. The only thing you can do is make sure the pressure in the tires is correct and run the recommened oil, keep the car in good running order.

Your clutch on your Echo is hydraulically operated. There are 2 cylinders, one is connected to the clutch pedal, and the other is on the transmission clutch release arm. Hydraulic fluid operates the clutch. With this system, there are no adjustments. If your clutch is "slipping", a replacement may be in order.

if you do not have the tools or the knowledge it is better to leave it to a qualified mechanic because if it is not done properly they have to fix it but if you do it you could create a lot of heartache for your hip pocket
