SOURCE: orifice tube location on a 1998 gmc jimmy

Follow the smaller diameter high side line till you see a spot where there are dimples pushed in. These are the stops for the orifice so it doesn't get pushed too far in. They are usually at the front where the line goes to the radiator/condenser area.

SOURCE: orifice tube location on a 1995 gmc jimmy

it is located in the high pressure AC line at the AC evaporator core inlet. The high pressure line is the smaller of the two AC lines that come from the AC compressor on the engine..

SOURCE: location of orifice tube

Usually in the high pressure line close to where it goes into the firewall, Follow that line from the firewall down to where you should find a threaded, or springloaded fitting. When you separate that fittting you should find it inside the line.

the orfice is located in the liquid line, this line runs from the condensor to the evaperator core, disconnect line at the core first and look in line and core side if its not there then look at the other end at condenser.

Where is orifice tube on 2003 Mazda tribute

It is in the high pressure line going to the evaporator like everyone said. My Haynes manual made it look like it was at the connection right at the firewall but it is further upstream than that. There is a compression fitting upstream of the A/C tube fitting that you have to undo. Once you open that part you'll see the orifice tube. Hope this helps

Expansion valve location

raven 1g: Your car doesn't use an expansion valve. It uses a fixed orifice tube which is located in the smaller of the two A/C lines, just before they enter the cabin area of the car.
Just disconnect the line and pull the orifice tube out of the line. Be careful not to break off anything and leave it in the line.
