The hardest part of this repair is removing the two nuts. Soak them with penetrating oil first. If the nuts loosen stop and remove the vacuum line. Then remove the two nuts and pull off the EGR valve. A 90deg. mini pick and carb cleaner can be gently used to remove carbon buildup in both chambers. Before getting too carried away with cleaning. You should perform a vacuum test. Find out if the diaphragm is intact or leaking. Also see if the plunger moves freely when vacuum is applied. Sometimes the old gasket can be reused but don't count on it. They do break and if so both surfaces will need to be thoroughly scraped and cleaned. Let me know if there is anything else. Good luck.

Assuming your spare is underneath & not on the tail gate; do the following: remove the plate on top of your rear bumper & you will see a steel nut. Take your spare tire wrench or a socket & rachet & unscrew that baby until you feel that tire on your foot!

Hi,
The P0403 code represents a problem with the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Solenoid or circuit.Below is the chart that explains and directs us to where the problem may exist.
Since there are a number of components or wires that can be at fault
for this code,I feel it is not going to be something that we should
attempt to diagnose via long distance. You may wish to check the basic
wiring and vacuum supply to the solenoid, but if you find that the ECM
is at fault, you will want to have this type of problem backed up by a
good part and labor warranty.
Most solenoids need about 20 ohms or slightly higher resistance on the primary winding circuits to function correctly.
Be sure to clear any trouble codes after you have made any repairs to the system.
Below
is a technical service bulletin I have located on your vehicle, It may
