I usually turn to the12Volt 1st...
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1472.html

I trust the website... but not what others may have done previously, so
I still check everything for voltage and / or continuity
before installing.

there should be 14x different wires.
see the link.

I cannot imagine what the uninsulated (bare) wire would be for.
Ground? just for support?
whatever it is...trace it, so you know, but don't use it.
Replace it with something proper.

SOURCE: Wiring Problems

You didn't cut the plastic connectors off the factory wiring, did you? One is gray and one black.... if not, just get to a stereo shop and buy a wiring kit for your car and all colors will match. They're about $10. If you DID..... well..... we have a LOT of work to do....

SOURCE: re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok

My standard for most of these type of questions is that you should purchse a haynes or chiltons manuel for your vehicle. I will have instructions and diagrams as well as tips to help you do your job, I bought mine on ebay for 17.50.

Wires have been cut in my citroen saxo vts where the radio goes. i have a radio but as the cars original sterio loom has been cut out i am having trouble knowing what wire connects to what

based on not having steering controls if you have you will need a cit wiring diagram but the norm is
you will need a volt meter and a 9v battery,
test all wires with meter to fin a live with the ign switched off, ths is the live memory feed
the try again with the ign on, this is the switched live
there will be an earth/ground and light feed when you power the lights on.
when you do that to find the speakers
take a pair of remaining wires and place them on the 9v battery, work through the wires til you here a speeaker crakle, then continue till you find all speaker, that will allow you to hook up to a aftermarket unit,
or if you can get to a scrap car of the same year and type, cut the harness out and match up the wires
