Serpentine belts are the easiest to do....carefully look at the route diagram for running the belt, make sure you have a long breaker bar with the correct socket to fit the tensioner. You'll need to pull the tensioner against itself to relieve pressure on the belt. Once pressure has been released carefully hold the bar and with the other hand work the belt off the nearest pulley. release the tensioner and get your new belt ready to slip back on the exact way the old came off. When you apply pressure on the breaker bar again, you will have to pull it even farther to get the newer belt on because the newer belt has not stretched out any. Patience is your greatest tool.

Squealing

My first impression would be the serpentine belt is worn ...specifically it has "glazed" and stretched so it no longer has the ability to effectively grip the drive pulleys it spins. Typically when the serpentine belt loses "traction" it will squeal as it slips on the metal pulleys of the accessories it is designed to operate. There also may be a problem with the the tensioner ...a device used to keep proper tension on the serpentine belt. This is an easy and relatively inexpensive repair ...probably cost between $100 and $200 ...depending on whether the tensioner needs replacing.
You really need to get this fixed. If the serpentine belt fails ...it breaks or comes apart ...you will lose power steering and the water pump as the two critical accessories the belt operates. Obviously the loss of power steering can make the car difficult to drive and the loss of the water pump will cause an engine overheat condition fairly quickly. The A/C and alternator will also drop off line but these aren't as critical as the steering and water pump.

  1. Place a long-handled, boxed-end wrench or a belt tension release tool (A) on the drive belt auto-tensioner from above the engine. Slowly turn the wrench in the direction shown to release the tension, then remove the drive belt.
WARNING This is a hydraulic type auto-tensioner; you must turn the wrench slowly.
  2. Install the new belt in the reverse order of removal.

Ho to replace serpentine belt. cant find anything

There probably won't be any adjustments. Serpentine Belts have be used for 25 or 26 years to my memory ,and have spring loaded tensioners to keep belt tight. So I quess your new to the car world. You release the tension with a long 1/2" Drive ratchet or tool specific for belt replacement. If you need to buy any tools you don't have, your better off leaving it to the pros
