The central locking on my 2001 renault scenic just stopped working. To try and solve the problem I would syncronise the key again which helped for a few days but evntually even that did not help. I changed the batteries in both sets of keys and ensured the new batteries were at 3 v. but did not help.......Now this is the strange part. If i disconnect the car battery for any length of time and reconnect it, the key syncronises and the central locking works for a few hours. All the other central locking systems work. Interior switch and motion switch at 4 Km/h.
Anyone got a proper circuit diagram that i can have to try and trace out the circuit. I cant believe it is all that serious. Maybe a loose earth?
Your not going to like this but it sounds like you have a problem with your ECM, Electronic Control Module. This is not something you will be able to repair unless you have a detailed work station to remove the Sealing compound that surrounds the modules control board.
Can this cost a lot i have the same prob
