1995 Lexus SC300 drivers side window made a popping noise and now will not stay up. I removed the door panel and if I push the window up manually, I can roll it down but not back up. Anyone know how to fix?

Do you have to remove the entire window to replace the regulator? Any insight on how you replace it would be helpful as it looks a little complicated.

The window regulator assembly needs to be replaced. remove the inner door panel and the insulating platic pannel. and remove the old unit, it use cables like that of your bike as a kid, the plastic pieces that hold them in place just go bad from time to time

there are 2 bolts that should be a 10mm holding the regulator to the window, other then that there should be another 4-8 holding it to the door. remove them and lower the unit, and snake it out of the opening either to the right or left, just reverse to install, it looks alot more complicated then it is, just take your time and dont get flustered.

Door panel removal for window switch repair

This is theinstruction on how to remove door panel of Toyota camry 1. Openthe door as wide as possible and roll the window up completely. Locate andremove five screws and two clips in the door panel. Two screws are located atthe rear of the panel, another two are located under the arm rest, one near thelight and the other in front of the light. The last screw is located in thefront of the arm rest behind a triangle shaped plastic panel, directly belowthe door handle. Pry this panel up with a flathead screwdriver to remove thescrew underneath. The two clips are near the front of the door and are smallplastic circles. Push them in with a small screw driver and pull them out. 2. Remove the plastic trim around the doorhandle. Use a flathead screwdriver or prying tool to pop the plastic out fromthe door panel. Wiggle it around until it comes loose from the door handle. 3. Use a flathead screwdriver or prying tool atthe bottom edge of the door. Pry away from the door until the clips under theedge pop out. These are plastic clips under the edge of the bottom and sides ofthe panel. Gently pop them out from the entire door panel. The top of the panelis held in place by the window trim. Move the panel back and forth until it isfree from the window trim. 4. Unclip the wire connectors and wires with aflathead screwdriver. The door panel is now free from the door.

My drivers side mirror was bumped and now does not line up?

if the glass is broken or need it replaced. You need to remove the door panel approx. five phillips head screws, remove the triangular plastic cover in the corner or the window. Remove the 3 ten mm bolts, if electrical mirror then disconnect and replace. The screws to remove the door are behind the handle, you need to pop uo the window control panel in the door and then search for the other screws. There are many clips along the door panel so some slight pulling is needed.

Left front door window sometimes will not go back up! When I use either the left front door, window up/down switch, or the driver side up/down control, for the left front door, I can hear the switch...

USUALLY POWER WINDOW PROBLEMS ARE ONE OF THREE THINGS. 1. SWITCH 2. MOTOR 3. WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM THE LEXUS HAS IS THE MASTER SWITCH IN THE DRIVERS DOOR. IT CAN ALSO AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE PASSENGER DOOR SWITCH....IF WINDOW REGULATOR IS BAD YOU WILL HEAR SOME CRAZY NOISES COMING OUT OF DOOR PANEL...VERY OBVIOUS.... FOLLOW THIS CLOSELY...STARE AT A LITE DOME LIGHT USUALLY WITH DOOR OPEN...WHEN YOU PRESS WINDOW SWITCH, IF THERE IS ANY DIMING OF DOME LIGHT....MOTOR IS BAD. IF DOME LIGHT STAYS THE SAME BRIGHTNESS... SWITCH IS BAD... EXCEPT IN THE CASE SOME HACKER HAS BEEN IN THE DOOR PANEL BEFORE ...IT DOES TAKE A SPECIAL TALENT TO REMOVE DOOR PANELS WITHOUT BREAKING THINGS AND EVEN MORE TALENT TO REPLACE WINDOW REGULATORS
