I have a 1993 chevrolet C2500 light duty.. it has miss-fire, rough idle, unless u raise rpm...after it sits for a while will behave, boggs down while accelerating, but picks up fine at bout 2500-3000 rpm...when its cold, it runs fine, oil pressure runs 40-55, after warmed up runs bout 15 to 30 and idles at 600-800 rpm... been told (MAP) senser... weak fuel pump... any suggestions/comment much apprieciated
Check intake gaskets. Pour warm soapy water on the gasket when it's running. If it bubbles like crazy, you have a leak. 2. Check timing. Shoot a timing light at the crank mark. If it jumps around a lot, your chain has jumped. #3. check cam. Remove valve covers, run the engine, and see if they are all raisng the valves the same. Put a piece of cardboard along the bottom, and fold it around a little, so it forms kind of a " half valve cover". That way you won't lose oil everywhere, and make a mess, or a fire.

another thing i forgot to add is that when it is fully warmed up, it'll shut off when coming to a stop
When your car is cold the computer bypasses some of the sensors until the engine reaches operating temp. So the sensor measuring air is a good guess. I dont know if you have a MAFF or MAP but if its never been changed then it probably should be. Oil pressure can drop once the oil warms up and becomes thinner. (below 15 id start to worry) Same for your fuel system. I believe chevy wants you to change fuel filters and all that jazz from 60 to 80 thousand mile intervals. Another strong possibility is your o2 sesnor is taking a ****. Like i said before your computer wont recognize what your o2 sensor is telling it until it warms up. I hope this helps.
