Engine dies numerous times a day.

I have a 1996 Jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0L. I have been having a problem with it either dying while stopped or spitting and sputtering while driving. I have replaced the pcm, crankshaft position sensor, ignition coil, new plugs, distributor cap and rotor, new plug wires, new distributor housing, new fuel pump and filter, and many other small things. It acts as though it has bad gas. It will start sputtering and eventually take s its last breath and die. I wait about 30 seconds and start it back up and it will run fine most times. Every now and then it will backfire and die. I am running out of options on what it could be. Could someone please help me diagnose the problem please??

Have you thought about it possibly being the engine that has something wrong with it? Have you checked the cylinders?

Why would my 1996 jeep grand cherokee laredo strat and run for 5 to 10 mins the stall and die out

this can be caused by many things, the most common is the crank sensor. have the computer scanned for any stored codes, if there are codes they will help you in finding problem also hook fuel preasure gauge to it and see if it looses preasure when it dies it could be a bad fuelpump. i would start with these tests first.hope this helps.

Car dies at random moments

But, you did not change the crank sensor (on the drivers side of the bellhousing, just where it's a real pain to get to)
