I have a 2000 buick lasabre that has been running very rough, my son put computer on and it said bad o2 sensor, he replaced sensor, and it is still running rough, but the computer now says cylinder 6 misfires, he replaced the coil pack 5-6 with 3-4 to see if it would read cylinder 4 misfires but it did'nt. It seemed to run good for a day, then it started running rough again. the check engine light came back on and cylinder 6 again. Does anyone have any ideas before he nickel and dimes me to death.

Plugs and or wires.
for some reason the spark is jumping out of the wire or plug.
the plug insulater may have a crack in it.
also use a carb spray to clean out the throttle body at the throttle plate.
all the black carbon will build up around the throttle plate and restrick airflow at an idle position.

hope this helps
thank you

Once the RPMs are up some, it's tough to recognize a miss on a 6-8 cylinder engine but this is another good reason to keep a check on fuel consumption; you may not feel it but with one cylinder missing randomly, it will affect mileage and it is normal to correct missing power with the gas pedal.
The lousy Saturn I owned until it committed hari-kari at 57K had three out of four sparkplug leads leaking like crazy and it was really only noticeable at idle that the engine was running rough. BTW, those leads were under three years old when I replaced them with silicone insulated leads. Looking in the engine compartment at night was entertaining - sparks everywhere. GM could give them away and I'd refuse to run down to get one.

What's the symptoms of a bad egr valve in a 1989 Buick lasabre

They are more known for mass air sensor problems , you could remove egr valve. To check if it is closing you shouldn't be able to blow through it, they idle rough exhaust gas reborn valve , so they run bad when stuck open

Just purchased 2000 Buick LeSabre. 56,000 miles, sporadic trouble starting--sometimes starts first try, other times will crank and won't start and have to slightly depress the accelerator and then will...

If it runs rough all the time, could be a bad coil pack/wires. If just starting and hesitates on acceleration, I would suspect the throttle position sensor.

2000 lasabre engine light is flashing the car is running rough

Some fatul code is sending from the PCM; I suggest scanned the computer to know exactly about code is talking; with this code number could send additional details.

Keep in touch.

Replacing a fuel sensor on a 2000 Buick Lasabre

On the LaSabres they have a fuel tank pressure sensor and a fuel level sensor if either one has to be replaced they are built in to the fuel pump. You can get to the fuel pump by removing the rear seat and removing the panel to remove the pump. The fuel pump is located in the tank.

Kidspeedy hopefully buick lasabre that runs rough

I also had a misfire, but on a 4cyl. At speed it was great-getting there? so yes do the tune up of plugs and wires. You only have one cyl out of six laying down on you, might not even be hardly noticable.

02 sensors in 2000 buick lasabre

It could be either of them... I would try replasing the primary first since thats the main one that usually goes and reads if the fuel is lean or rich burning

Blue smoke but no lights on the problem

blue smoke on startup is generally from worn valve guides or bad stem seals on same (not really terrible as long as it stays the same) It will run rough for a minute 'till the oil in the cylinders is cleared out. Service engine light is pretty much on its own timer and does not mean anything but it's there to annoy you into going to the dealer. If O2 sensor was bad, it would eventually put the red check engine light on.
