The EAVC and Idle Control Valve might be sticking. Remove air filter and pipe work, and inside the throttle body are these valves. Clean the up and reset the ECU - usually removing the negative battery lead will reset Honda's.
The ECU won't be broken or anything by the way, if that's what the mechanic was getting at.
(By the way it's Revs Per Minute RPM :)

Hi there.I think i can help u to turn off service alert, Its done in the following way:-
1.Switch ignition on ( do not start engine )
2.Switch radio ON.
3.Start engine.
4.Switch radio OFF.
5.Press and hold INFO button.
6.Turn volume control knob at least 30 clicks until self dianostic menu is displayed and an audible
signal is heard. ( while still holding the INFO button )
8.Using the circular dial ( Joystick ) select Confirmation/Adjustment and press centre of joystick
to ENTER.
9.Select Service and press ENTER.
10.Select Reset and press ENTER
11Press BACK button to return to main menu.
12.Switch OFF ignition
