If you have a TPS(throttle position switch) you may bre able to turn the knurled knob at the end downward to speed up . or theres a small hex key fitting in the rear center of the switch with wiich you would screw it in to increase the speed. If you do not have an emmision controlled speed switch(tps) then there is a screw that is capped of and probably shouldn't be moved. Your idle usually drops because of afault in the timing, a vacuum leak or another simple problem. But adjustments to the factory settings are rarely needed, I'd look around a bit before doing this. Good luck.

Depends on what setup you are running. Some 318's had 2bl Holley's...one model had electronic feedback and one did not. There were also different 4bl models depending on if it was a 318 or 360. Given the age of your RC, you might even be running an aftermarket carb and/or intake.

Do a thread search or post a question on the vehicle help board at Ramchargercentral.com...the crew over there will be able to help you with everything from identification of your setup to troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of your idle issue.

Need to find a repair manuel for 1987 Dodge Ram Charger transmission

What you want/need is a Factory Service Manual for the '87 Ramcharger, it covers each transmission in depth.
Which, if i remember correctly, there were 4 transmissions available in 1987. The Torqueflite 727 3-Speed Automatic (Found in 2WD and 4WD Ramchargers), the 904 Torqueflite 3-Speed Auto (2WD only), the New Process 435 4-Speed Manual Transmission (2WD & 4WD) and the Chrysler A833 4-Speed Manual (2WD only)

Carb.

Well if it has too much oxygen it would suggest incomplete burn either through too little fuel or ignition timing too far retarded.

Are you sure they are failing on the basis of too much oxygen? Normally it would be too much CO and hydrocarbons, which is generally a result of rich mixtures and/or ignition timing.. When you ****** the timing you decrease hydrocarbons, decrease Nox and increase CO. When you advance you do the opposite. When you lean the fuel you decrease CO and decrease hydrocarbons and vice versa. When you raise compression you increase Nox.
