Vapor lock cannot occur in a tank mounted fuel pump. The pump may be worn enough to lose it's pumping ability at high temperatures. Have you changed the fuel filter? Is the check engine light on? If so, rent a scanner, read the code(s) and follow them to repairs. What occurs when the temps reach 96 degrees?

Iam no mech but is it hard 2 change the motor n transmission mounts in a 96 ford thunderbird 3.8 engine if it is whats the going price 2 do so i dont get taken

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. You will need to be able to unbolt both sides of the mount and support the engine with the jack while you replace the mounts. If you download the autozone app to a smart pone or tablet it will give you a repair estimate calculator,

What is code p1443 on 96 thunderbird

PCV valve would have nothing to do with it !
P1443 - Very Small Or No Purge Flow Condition A fuel tank pressure change greater than a minus (-) 7 inches of H 2 O in 30 seconds has occurred with purge (fuel vapor) flow less than 0.02 pounds per minute.
  • Blocked fuel vapor hose between EVAP canister purge valve and FTP sensor.
  • Blocked fuel vapor hose between EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold.
  • Blocked vacuum hose between EVAP canister purge valve-solenoid and engine intake manifold.
  • EVAP canister purge valve stuck closed (mechanically).
Check for blockages between the fuel tank, EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold. Check obstructions in the EVAP canister purge valve diaphragm and ports.
Suggest you buy a repair manual if you want to try an fix yourself .Or Go to ford web site Ford Oem1stop com an pay 29 bucks for 72 hours for repair info . Or take it to a qualified repair shop an have it smoke tested . Or goolge purge valve for a pic. an see if you can find it under the hood .

1988 ford escort wont start if is hot outside

A common problem with Fords in hot weather is a weak ignition module. Some are mounted on the side of the dist. The coil can do the same thing.

Truck starts and runs great, but if the temp gets past a certain point it starts acting like its starving for fuel then dies. after 30 minutes or so of cooling down it cranks and runs like there was never...

If the temperature is exceeding 210 degrees you are at risk for overheating your truck and it shutting down is a good thing. If it is exceeding this temperature range, buy a new thermostat (very inexpensive and easy to change) located where the main radiator hose enters the engine block. This will also help keep your temps under control and if you have never changed one before on this truck, it's time to do so anyway. If the problem is happening before 210 degrees......I'm not really sure what the problem could be except that the heat coming off the engine is vaporizing the fuel before it hits the cylindars thus causeing to act like it is starving for fuel.

Gas peculating in carburator and running into motor.

there is exhaust that runs from head to head under carburetor . there should be a damper that opens when cold and closes when hot . when it stays open after motor reaches operating temperature gas in bowl boils and gas is a vapor instead of a mist and causes motor to run lean .
