1. VW VAG type 5 digit fault code 19497 = EOBD type P3041 fault code:
Fault location = CAN data bus, instrumentation - implausible Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) signal
Probable cause = Wiring, matching resistor in Engine Control Module (ECM)
2. VW VAG type 5 digit fault code 18032 = EOBD type P1624 fault code:
Fault location = Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - request signal active
Probable cause = Trouble code(s) stored in other system(s)
3. VW VAG type 5 digit fault code 01039:
Fault location = Coolant Temperature Sensor (G2)
Probable cause = Open or Short to Plus, Short to Ground - Intermittent

Well, i gotta tell ya.. i have the exact same issue. the odometer is the only thing ... well was... now the speedo wont register till i get down the road a ways.
Toyota paint codes are can usually be found either under the hood or on the passenger/drivers side door jamb. Most Toyota paint codes are 3 digits long.
If you can't find your color code on the car your local Toyota dealership (parts department) will be able to tell you your code from your registration or chasis number... Good luck..i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.
filter is mounted on right side next to front pivot of trailing arm(behind tank) if not try here filter is under the car on the frame rail in front of the right rear tire
I had the same problem with my 87 new yorker. After alot of research and messing around I found it could be a few things. The Map sensor $55 on left side fender, the PCM located inside the air intake tube $50 at junkyard, also make sure that the injector is not stuck open and that both connections on the injector are connected securly.
