The cable came loose in the truck. It is probably under warranty, the dealer will replace whole cable. If not, then look and you will see a bracket that the cable has come off of. Just push back in.

SOURCE: Trunk wont open where is emergency switch inside trunk

I had the same problem as you. Take out the back seat and there is a large access hole to the interior. There are two bolts that are fairly easy to get to. Remove them and the truck latch is removed from the lid and trunk will open.

SOURCE: my trunk lid will not open on my 2005 nissan

Just beneath the latch ,you can see a clip, turn it up and close the trunk.Try opening it with the button near dash or remote. It should work. They designed it to avoid theft during vallet parking. The main key(steel one) is used only for ignition. There is another key(with a black rubber head) is for ignition and trunk. So if you want to avoid missing any items from trunk using vallet parking, use the main key,put the clip down and hand that to the person who is assisting you during vallet parking.

I have a Hyundai azera 2017 limited, trunk won't open, you can hear it click like it's going to open but it will not. How do I gain access to my trunk

Hello .. Try having someone push the button in the car while you push in or down on it ... That works most of the time . Next best thing is to remove the rear seat and have a kid pull the release cord from inside the trunk. They made it the law that all vehicles have one . Kids were dying because they got in but couldn't get out and they died trying ,,,,,

2017 Hyundai Sonata - trunk will mot open. I have pressed the button on dashboard ; stepped outside -pressed the button AND used my key.. NO response! HELP with this question. Thank you

there is a handle in the inside of the trunk
im sure you can get to it thru the back side of your back seats
once seats down you will find it on the left side (as you face the back of your car)
pull that handle and open the trunk, once you open the trunk make sure your trunk latch is not set into lock mode there is a small lever on the right side of it and small pictures with a lock and unlocked
make sure is on unlocked and i hope it solves your problem.

2011 Hyundai Elantra trunk won't open but can hear mechanism working. The latches that allow back seats to be lowered are in trunk and there is no keyhole on trunk to open. How can we get into trunk?

Does your model have the anchor point for the child seats on the back shelf? If carefully remove each of the plastic cover you can get access to the seat release mechanism at the seat end.
Try this YouTube link to see if it helps. There should be an emergency trunk release on the inside of the trunk lid.

I locked my keys in the trunk of my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Unable to access trunk via rear seats Can't find any manual release mechanism from within the cab. Roadside assistance says order new keys

On the internet it said the Hyundai Dealer can make you a cheap key for only the trunk, which is cheaper than the regular key if you provide VIN information and proof that you own the vehicle.

If you have another key, or already ordered and received a replacement key, you might still have problem opening trunk, and another person said "Easy way is to press the unlock button on the driver's door. Then the trunk release will work."

Can 2008 Hyundai sonata trunk be opened from inside the trunk?

I believe you have use the electric button for the trunk if you got juice. if not then a key. if you don't have juice or a key. then you can go to the closest Honda dealer with registration to the car with your name on it and your driver's license and they can make you up a key. You will need the owners Manuel so they can get your Vin # and key # and it takes them 5 minutes and you will have a new key. Other than that I guess you can take a drill with a 7/16 bit and drill it out good luck

The trunk on my 2011 Sonata opens randomly without touching the remote or the switch inside the car. Any thoughts?

take the FOB out of your pocket and drive for a while. if it still opens, check the latch mechanism to be sure is it fully engaging. The trunk may be popping because the latch is not fully engaged.
