try jiggling the steering wheel left and right as you turn the key. If you have another key for it, a copy or original, try it. If not the ignition cylinder is shot.
The lock and tumbler could be stuck or faulty. You can take a ballpeen hammer and lightly tap around the key to see if the internal pins loosen up and release the key. The pins do tend to stick on the GM's.
Unfortunately No. You have to disegage locking pin from the inside to slide ignition assembly out. Disengage air bags before attempting anything or you will have a problem.
I assume your talking about ignition, you have to remove air bag and steering wheel to get to pin for ignition switch. If you don't feel confident removing the airbag then don't. Once air bag is removed all you need is steering wheel gear puller.
you wont?? without the key you will not be able to remove the barrell.their are two headless bolts that shear off when its fitted ,if you can behind them and tap them around to slacken them with a centre punch then your lucky ??other than that remove the steering column and cut it off ,i take it the lock has jammed up ?? and will not turn .
