It will start but only run for a couple of seconds .Injector gets a pulse in start mode when cranking.Put on new fuel filter, ignition coil, ignition module. Bypassed oil pressure switch to make sure fuel pump was still running in run mode.It will keep running if you pour fuel down tbi.It has a2.5 4 cylinder . Will it still run like this if hall effect switch is bad.Original ignition module had a bad low rpm circut in it .Seems like fuel injector is not getting a pulse in run mode.
If hall effect switch was bad you wouldn't get any spark. What year 2.5L is this?Is this a 2 injector Throttle Body? The pink wire on top of injectors comes thru a 20Amp fuse controlled by the Ignition switch you should have battery voltage with key on The dark green and dark blue wires come from the pcm which are called injector drivers the drivers supply a pulsating ground if you crank the engine with a test light between either pink/dk green or pink/dk blue test light should flash dimmlythat would mean injectors are being driven but there isn't any fuel at the injector or the injectors are bad no pulse means either a bad computer ( which these drivers are known for going bad)or the computer isn't being commanded to fire the injectors.

Did you solve the problem? I have a similar problem:
'88 S10, 2.5 4 cylinder, man. trans. Stopped running. Starts but dies immediately.
NO TROUBLE CODES. Fuel pres. is in range
range. Ignition module tested OK on Auto Zones tester (How accurate is test?) Coil tested out OK by my and Auto Zone?s
Tests. New ignition module had no
affect. Runs if I spray fuel down
throttle body. Injector test light
blinks while cranking, which is what the test says it is suppose to do. Light stays on while running (while I?m
spraying fuel down intake), is it suppose to blink or stay on while
running? If it is suppose to blink,
then the next trouble steps say I have a bad ECM.
1.3 ohms across inj. terminals -OK (needs to be >
1.2) No ground short on CKT 467-OK.
Fuel pressure also stays up, along with fuel flow.
Hall Effect switch in distributor checks out OK
according to manual. Last tests
indicated bad ECM, replaced ECM but same problem. Ran
normal, then problem again, intermittent problem. Noticed vehicle
surge while drive, done this for a long time and think it may be
related.
