I stopped at traffic lights and car stalled.i tried restarting but it wouldnt go.on inspection we found no spark to the lead we tested number 5 cylinder.next day car started and ran long enough to move it,then following day it started again ran for about 5mintes then just stopped, now it wont start at all.i have tried it in both gasoline and lpg mode but same thing cranks but no run.i have new coil now but is this the problem or is it the sensor on the hall effect distributor?or even the map sensor?i have a 1992 eb ford falcon 4speed automatic.
Check the crank angle sensor.
Have you checked for fuel pressure ? With only 1 coil pak out, the car should start. So, start from the beginning, ... Check for spark on several plug wires. If spark, then check for fuel, is the fuel pump working? Check the breaker in the trunk, drivers side behind the panel. If still no fuel, then could be a wire short or fuse,or just the pump in the tank needs to be replaced. If you do have spark and fuel, then check the MAF sensor on the air intake. This will shut the motor down more so then the MAP. Only Ford has this part and it cost's, and once you open the box they will not take it back. Have someone, or even Ford check the MAF sensor, or check at a scrap yard for hopefully a good used one. There's more to check, including the crank sensor, but start with this. Good luck.
