I have a 2001 GMC 1500 HD. The pushbutton four

I have a 2001 GMC 1500 HD. The pushbutton four wheel drive isnt working. You push the button, here the trasfer case engage, but the front wheels do not receive power. Where should i start to look for the problem?

See if the front driveline engages, then move to the front wheels if they do not engage check the actuator on the front diff

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon that will not shift into four wheel drive. I can hear the click, when I push the button and the light blinks but it will not remain solid and I dont think I should drive it without...
it sounds to me like the motor that switches the transfer case into 4 wheel drive DO NOT try to put it in 4 wheel. There should be no problem driving it as it is but if you continue to try it may get stuck in between and cause major problems

4wd will not engage on 2002 gmc sierra 1500
try going into reverse for 10 feet then go to drive for 10 feet that might help if not it is to the wiring to you 4x4 engage system (wires to your wheel hub)

When i push the button for the four-wheel drive it just clunks
the part you are referring to is the solenoid for locking 4 wheel drive in. it isnt hard to replace,it may not be engageing all the way.

Four wheel drive not working properly
while in drive, engage the 4wd, then shift into neutral for 2 or 3 seconds, then shift back into drive. it works for my '98 ram.
