How do i locate the air filter vacuum tube that

I have a 2001 RX 300 and the VSC and CEL came on, not long after having my car serviced.

How do I locate the air filter vacuum tube that may be disconnected causing CEL to come on? I have seen the picture posted on Lexus Club by Monone but can't figure out what the white circle is. Is that the actual tube or is that the place where the tube needs to be connected....or neither. I have printed the picture and compared it to what I see under the hood and still don't understand. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The code is P1135, but I want to make sure the air filter tube is connected before I take it for service.

SOURCE: 2000 Lexus RX 300 - VSC Light comes on and brake pulsation

you most likely have an "air gap" or "tone ring" problem with one of your sensors or tone rings. i would suggest letting a technician diagnos which problem it is, as it is a diagnosis that requires some experience.

SOURCE: just got car service for 75,000 miles also had new

Sounds to me like someone has perhaps knocked the ABS sensor while working on the brakes. The ECU in these cars interlinks various stability and braking components. Go back to the service center and ask them to put a code reader on the car and get a read out. It may only require that they reset the fault codes, but do not delay. On some Lexus vehicles these lights will also come on when the battery has been disconnected and there will be a reset for the programs, but the TRAC off light has never come on on my 2001 when doing brakes or battery swap.
nice find an 02 with 75,000. My 2001 is over 160

2 years ago had check engine light & VSC come on. Brought in & had a sensor replaced along w/ tires ($1K on sensor & labor alone). They said both lights should go off. VSC has remained on...

Strange that they didn't reset the CEL/VSC lights for you. My understanding is that it should clear over time, so it sounds like you may still have an issue that's triggering the light. The most common cause that I have heard is the vacuum hose to the air filter box being left off (or knocked off). You might want to ask a local auto parts stores to read the codes and reset the DTC. Many will do this for free (at least many of the large national chains will). If they reset the code, and the problem has not been resolved, the VSC light will come back on. Hopefully it's just the vacuum hose that attaches to the air filter box.

Where is the cabin air filter located on an 2001 Rx 300 Lexus? Thanks

Behind the glove box. there are two "clips" that lock into either side of the glove box. you twist them counter clockwise & they come out(don't looose them you can't get replacements without buying the whole box. then there is a "shock" on the right side of the box that needs to be dis connected on the end. the box will now fall forward towards you & you'll be able to see the air filter door inside the cavity remove the door & there is the filter.

HOW TO RESET TRAC OFF AND VSC INDICATOR FOR 4 RUNNER 2004

VSC and trac off, will generally be reset with a readout tool plugged in under dash, knee level drivers side.
When these lighst come on together it is often a sign of improper air fuel mixture, sometimes as a result of running extremely low on fuel or leaving a gas cap loose.
It may also be a symptom of a clogged O2 sensor in one of 3 locations. When resetting the LEDs a readout will analise the cause.

How can i find out about sating the timing marks on lexus rx 300 3.0 vsc

Get a Haynes repair manual on your vehicle from the local auto parts store. There are a few different brands out there but I have found Haynes to have better illustrations and explainations of the timing marks.

2002 RX 300

I have a 2001 RX 300 and mine has done the same thing. The first time it happened the dealer had me bring it in. It was under warranty, and they replaced something, which I can't remember. Then it happened a year or so ago, and the service rep at the dealership told me that her car does the same thing, and I should just let it reboot itself in a day or so. It did it two days ago driving back from a long trip. The service rep said to bring it in because she didn't know what was going on (I think she was new).

It's now resolved itself again. It must be a fluke with the model, but I don't worry about it.
