Check this components:
- The Relay - Tail Lamps: is located front seating area, driver side, driver side of steering column, under dash, below instrument panel, mounted in fuse/relay box;
- The Relay - Sunroof: is located front seating area, center, behind head panel, front of sunroof panel, mounted on driver side of head panel;
- The Relay - Main: is located front seating area, driver side, under dash, above kick panel, in relay block, mounted on upper panel;

Look into those things first:
- Battery termials loose?
- Barttery itself loose grounding out to the underside of the hood?
- Door and trunk wiring harness iffy? (esp trunk), and,
- Crazy lighting mods?

Using the 12v from the cig lighter to trigger any other relays etc?

So, maybe a bad batch of fuses, I remember I had the same problem once. Got a pack from Walmart all went bust, got a pack from an auto store and it worked fine.

I hope help you with this.

Hello freddy - the good news is that your lexus has a self diagnosis system built into it. this is what you need to do.

drive to an auto zone or similar autoparts store and have them put your lexus on their computer to scan for trouble codes. they offer this as a free service. with a little luck this scan will isolate the problem and the fix will be quick and easy.

if this doesnt fix it for you get back and let me know what codes popped up.

here is a link to the lexus trouble codes so you will have added insight. good luck.

"So, maybe a bad batch of fuses, I remember I had the same problem once. Got a pack from Walmart all went bust, got a pack from an auto store and it worked fine."

ZJ, Yep' I know what your referring to on those junk fuses, some fail too easy but some do not fail when they should is what Harbors sign said.
I bought 2 big boxes of flats and one big box of old style tube fuses about 12-15yrs ago from Harbor Freight?
??idk time?? Long ago for sure!!
About 5-6 months after buying mine I saw Harbor was recalling the flat versions so I brought them all back.
They had no replacements to offer us just your cash back.

Well' I say brought them all back, it wasn't all my fuses I brought back.
It was "almost" one full box of tubes and 1/4 box of flats is what I returned. Big boxes, each box had well over 100 pcs I know?
Because I had my receipt Harbor actually refunded the 3rd box I already used just in case I ever located them all..lol
Man I really have no idea what I put all those fuses in since I worked on so many tractors/vehicles/mowers/forklifts etc.. just everything/anything so by the time they recalled them I'd used a lot you know? Geez!
I do know so far' no one I know of had a vehicle fire yet..lol
I still have a 2 signs on my door/wall stating,
"Please ask me to check your fuses due to safety recall, Free Replacement" and a bad flat fuse taped to it just to compare theirs to.
I've replaced several I found but it's only a handful really, certainly no box & a half I went through by any means..lol
You can bet there are millions of those bad fuses out in the world if Wally sold them.
Man' I didn't know they sold them too. I'm in automatic mode looking for those junk fuses daily over a decade now, I just toss them in the trash and roll on..lol First thing you notice on Harbors is their numbers aren't painted like the white numbers on better grade Buss fuses.
Peace

First check the alternator to see if it is charging. You should have a minimum of 13.5 volts at the battery with the engine running. Did you check the fusible link and the main fuse? You more than likely blew one or both. You may have also ruined this battery and need a new one. I would suspect your main fuse or the fusible link is the problem.

    OK, the alternator is not working so you know you need to replace it. You may have fried the ECU. But if the car is running great with no Check Engine light I would not think so. Have you checked the fusible link and main fuse?

There is a large inline protector in the supply wire to the alt. Check and see if you have power on both sides of this bullet shaped fuse. Also make sure your main fuses havent't blown, they can "look good" but unles you test each one with a test light or continuity tester you cannot tell.

The problem when the positive and negative is reversed, some protective units such as fuses does not function as expected since the current passes on a different location. Check first the wiring as it may have burned some connectors or terminals. Have the harness tested for continuity, most of the devices that you have mentioned has wires in the same wiring loom. Check as well the relays, especially for those motorized pieces such as the sunroof. For the alternator, it has pieces of electronics on it particularly diodes that can go out located around the alternator's housing.

Hi

First check all the connections from the battery as it could be due to a broken/burned wire from the battery. Also, this could be due to a bad battery (or just a bad cell in your battery). You can try to clean the heads on it & check the cells to see if they have enough fluid in them. Just put on some gloves, get a flat screwdriver & carefully pop open the cover of the cells on top of your battery. If you can see fluid, then those parts o.k. not, add a little water to them with a stopper. Either way, it's going to be cheaper for you to replace the battery if that’s the issue.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

2005, 2006, 2007 are the generation years that remain the same. You could also try cleaning with a light application of acrylic polish.

Alternater

Once the battery was placed backwards it may have sent a charge to the radio causing it to stop working, the alternater you should just try to either get it directly replaced same model..but if you want to try make sure all conectors are the same...other then that you can probly get a rebuilt one cheaper...rebuilt your current one will make sure its the same...and one major thing before you change anything make sure that the belt is on properly for the alternator and everything and just check if you are geting any charge from it
