Negative on DIY key re-programming from scratch on the 135i. I'd highly suggest using the dealership in this instance to ensure proper key functionality.

SOURCE: I lost a key to my 07 cobalt. I have a new one but

Only if it was a replacement that came with the vehicle when purchased. If not, then you'll need to go to the dealer and have them put the old key(even if you don't have it due to losing it) to sleep and re-program the new one. It costs about $125.00 to complete. Otherwise if it is the replacement, then it should already be programmed, and if not then put in ignition and turn to on position, back to off position three times and step on accelerator once to the floor(the accelerator is done before returning the key to off position the last time). Then turn back to off and try? This should work, if not then go to dealer.

How can I bypass my passkey 3 for my 2005 Buick LeSabre

This explains why you can't do that bypass, but there is a cheaper solution.

https://www.fixya.com/cars/r29887709-gm_passlock_security_system

An auto locksmith can provide a cheaper alternative. They often have access to VIN Number specs and can make a key using a set of profile numbers. They can also use an impressioning tool that feels the pins in the lock and is used to make a blank. Then the blank key with chip needs programming to the vehicle. If you have any sense, you will have him make two keys. No one should ever go down to just one key. When the car was new, it had three! After you have lost key 3 and then key 2, you use key 1 to make another. You keep key 1 safe and use the new key 2.

I have lost my key and the locksmith can't rekey or make a key. how do I get a replacement key?

some locksmiths don't have certain keys/blanks, you need to contact the supplier of the lock as they can recommend a locksmith that can do this lock .

Hey took my bmw to dealer they lost my key asked for my drivers licence to req new key.said that they could not program it .now they say they have to order 2 new keys and change csa.whats csa?

CSA is security. They can't start the car without reprogramming it. Takes two different key chips to reprogram. They lost the key, it should be there cost. Those keys are cheap.

Lost both keys dealer said have to tow car to garage and will cost $300 is there another way and cheaper

You can try a locksmith, but that probably won't be any cheaper.
And a locksmith may not have blanks for a 2015 yet.

I lost my key and key fob for 2006 Chrysler 300 AWD, and I don't have a spare key or key fob

Ok, the path of least resistance for you is to call a mobile locksmith. Since you have lost all keys, expect to pay about $200-$300 for this service. This will be less expensive than getting a tow to a dealer.

I would also have the locksmith cut and program 2 keys for you so you don't have this problem in the future.

You have to be careful when choosing a locksmith. I would recommend using an ALOA (Associated Locksmiths of America) member because they are bound by a good code of ethics.

You might be able to save even more money by ordering the key and key fob from my company https://keylessentryremotefob.com/

Lost key need to get a new one, do i need to go to the dealership

It depends on the year. Call the dealer and see if they can cut a key with your vin number. Some of the newer keys have to be programmed to your car, and the dealer can do that for you. If it is an older BMW a locksmith may be your least expensive resource to make a key.

I just ordered a new key from a bmw dealership, I lost my old one. It doesn't unlock the doors or turn when I put it in the ignition. It is a 94 bmw 325is.

The key is probably cut wrong. If you have had the car since new you should not have a problem returning them. If you bought the car used the locks may of been changed and that is why the keys do not work. An alternate way to go would be call a locksmith in your area who works on auto locks and have him come out he can make a key to fit your locks. Good luck.
