1995 Buick LaSabre stalls while driving, but will start back on. First the check engine light will come on while driving. Then the batery light and check oil lamp will come on and the engine will quit. Sometimes the steering wheel locks up. The Builck dealer has changed crank shaft position sensor, cam shaft sensor, and no suggests that some magnet in the engine is giving bad signals. Please help diagnose the problem.

Check wires going down eng front to crank sensor for bare spots. It can bump block and short for a second, giving ecm signal to shut down. Shift to N and will restart. Had this with a 91 Lesabre, and error code indicated a problem with trans clutch, not correct.

Clean battery cables and replace bolts. The cam sensor manet will not cause it to cut off.

That would be the GM switch recall. Take that to a GM dealer for a repair. It is on recall bif time.

nothing new there,just remember you have an
OBD1 System (1981 thru 1995) OBD2 (1996 thru 2014)

1995 Buick Lasabre stalls and when I start it it cuts right out as well. I replaced the crank sensor, ignition control module, fuel filter, battery, gasket covers, what to do?
A mechanic would check fuel pressure and trouble codes in the computer before any parts are replaced.

!994 LaSabre starts ...runs awhile then turns off. Fuel pump replaced, ran for a week ...now stalling out again. WOn't start this last time around.
If it is a 3.8 engine change the crank sensor,they go bad on the 3.8 engines.

Suspect either the camshaft or crankshaft sensor is failing with engine heat. If you could get the check engine light to stay on, a scanner would likely reveal the problem. If you could hook up the scanner and drive with it on, it might reveal the problem at the moment of failure.

Has the fuel filter been chg. lately. If it has, maybe a fuel pressure test is in order. Fuel pump might be geeting weak and does not show up until it gets warmed up. Fuel pumps are a common problem on this type of cars.

1997 buick lasabre custom high idle, transmission, stalling
Try cleaning your grounds under the hood: under Ignition Module bracket, rf fender behind battery and lf fender in front of windshield washer fluid bottle.
I had similar problem and this fixed it.....grounds are very important for computer.
I used a carbon conductive grease on the connections to keep them from oxidizing.
