How do headlight shine? (hard to tell in sunshine)

How does horn sound? Weak battery usually means a sick horn.

Can you jump start the vehicle? If so, then it is the battery/alternator, drive it to a auto parts store, most will check out the system for free.

If not the battery, and you here a clicking noise from around the starter area, likely is the starter or the solenoid for the starter.

2006 chevy colorado has power wont crank

Do you have a security light flashing in the dash when you try to start it, does the starter spin the engine for but not start it up? Have you tried spraying fuel into the intake during cranking? Do you have spark? Any fault codes? All this can be the problem and other things as well, have them all eliminated as the cause.

2006 chevy colorado out of the blue will not start. just makes clicking sound. Started it drove out of garage shut it off. Went back out 5 minutes later won't start. Clock even reset.

Sounds like a bad battery. A number of chain auto parts stores will check it and your charging system free. Before that, if your battery has removable caps, check the water level, if it's down, fill to the bottom of the fill rings and charge the battery, if you have a battery hydrometer, all the cells should have about the same charge level, if one or more show a lot lower than the others, battery is probably bad. Hope this helps.

My 2006 chevy colorado is making a clicking sound and won't turn over

Your Main Battery is Flat, get a jump start if its safe or remove the battery and hook it up to a charger. Maybe you left your lights on, or your alternator isnt charging the battery properly when your driving around. Sometimes this can be the bushes located in the alternator.

2006 chevy colorado cranks over but wont start

2005 Colorado 4x4 stick shift – I had the same thing happen and it had to do with the passlock system – it will keep your truck from starting for approximately 10 minutes, yes you will have to wait and let it sit- if you try to start it will just turn over forever. On my truck the solution was to change my starting procedure, I now keep the truck in neutral-turn the key all the way for a few seconds and then push in the clutch- it starts every time. If you have an automatic I don’t know..
