I have a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse i change the battery but my car turn on turn off

Make sure battery is good, battery terminals and cables/connectors connected to alternator correctly and belts adjusted to manufactured specifications. Check to see where the whining noise is coming from, if still present. If not the belts or pulleys it could be the starter.

Check your alternator or your battery. Something is draining electricity in your system. this can be a number of things like a bad battery, not working alternator to generate electricity, and/or faulty wiring.

The battery terminal may look clean - give them a good scrub with a wire brush and see how you go.

My 2001 mitsubishi eclipse spyder will not turn over it cranks but wont turnover i have spent nearly 1000 trying to get it fix the started battery alternator is brand new even the battery is brand new fuel pump is new i just order a pcm for it cause a giy said that the diag read poor circulation to battery back up so i dont know what could be the problem any one with advice pls email me jamesknight618@gmail

I would bet it is a bad battery cable terminal. I just had mine replaced and from different forums it seems a common problem.

Turn your steering column while turning on the car this should help. I had a problem with mine once and it did this (wouldn't start) but once the battery was replaced problem went away. You could also have a defected battery which also happened to my 2001 Eclipse RS last year.

could be, unless your battery is dying. a nearly dead battery will make clicking noises while it is cranking. if you keep forcing it by turning the key from "run" to "crank" and it gets it to start it may be a dead spot on the starter.

Hi, check the fuses i cant see changing the battery would stop it from working.
