I am putting seats from a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado in a 1955 Chevrolet and have some wiring questions

I want to delete the memory module from the driver seat. What do I have to do to get it to work without the module?

You should just be able to take out the module - just wire directly from the power source, though some controls for all axis functions and you should be good to go. The memory module is not really needed for basic operation.

SOURCE: seat heater repair 2000 cadillac sedan deville

I have a 2004 CTS. I know there are two fuse boxes underneath the floor carpeting in front of the rear seat. Remove the rear seat bottom cushion and pull the carpet forward and you will see them. Inside the cover identifies what fuse is for what function. Hopefully it is a blown fuse, otherwise my guess would be a short in the wiring some where.

SOURCE: Heated seat

It is the heatling element, stock elements have a single wire snaked through the element and when the circuit breaks it is done, aftermarket elements have a wired grid that if one area fails it still works, they also spread a more even heat.

SOURCE: 1999 Cadillac Deville Driver side power seat not working

No fuse. These seats are protected with relays and a seat module. The module is under the drivers seat. There are 3 connectors and it would be hard to check all these wires for power to the motors.First look under the seat and make sure none of the connectors came apart under the seat by something that might have been left or rolled under it.The 2 main ones you can check are the connector 2 terminal C and connector 3 terminal A.C is a black wire which is ground and A is a red wire which is the feed power wire.Connector 2 is green and 3 is black. If the ground and power wires are good then you could have a bad drivers seat module. What I would do is go to the salvage yard and find a used module to try.Good luck.

SOURCE: 1997 cadillac deville delagance - anti theft device

I've got a 97 deville d'elegance that has issues similar to these. Last year the red anti-theft light came on and the car wouldn't start-took it to the dealership and they replaced the PCM? (the main brain for the system) for $900...the guy told us the wiring was so corroded he didn't want to mess with it much. Today the message started flashing on the dash that says "anti-theft problem/ car may not restart" but it still turned over in the driveway a couple times so I am hoping I can reset it. The wiring system is jacked and will probably need to replace the wiring harness completely. Doubt its worth it. Not a secure feeling with 2 babies in the back seat in the middle of winter....
