Same thing - loud ticking sound and sound system disabled=plshlp?

The ticking is most likely the injectors, since the high pressure fuel system was introduced the injectors are very noisy. however, if you have had the campaign on the fuel rails done recently, take it to whoever did it and make sure that they installed all the sound deadening. the stereo is most likely the amp if its making a high pitched whine noise all the time.
