Gages and dash lights

We were cutting the wires for the cd player and two wires touched that were not suppose to touch and that caused my dash lights to stop working. My speedometer, rpm gage, temperature gage, gas gage, dummy lights, and miles that is on the car and miles for how far your trip has been no longer work. What should I do about this?

Have you checked the fuses? Look in the owner's manual for the locations... you might have just blown one.

I own 2009 Town & Country with 120K miles. Problem: When van in Park, engine running with headlights on..open drivers door AND wipers suddenly begin working in off position and headlights flas

Look for a wire laying across the back of the fuse block that are touching the turn signal flasher terminals. Those terminals are very sharp and a wire laying across them will in time cut thru the insulation and connect to the terminal. When this happens you get a back feed from the flasher that will cause all sorts of weird thing like what you're experiencing. Every mechanic in the Chrysler dealership had a crack at a car with a problem like yours before I finally got to look at it. That's what I found and the exasperated lady owner gave me a $50.00 tip.

BLOWN FUSES FOR WINDOWS AND SUN ROOF ALL GAGES ON DASH

I believe you have a fuseable link blown you need to check your wiring for any cut bared off spots. Try unhooking the hot post and touching it back on and listen for any snapping replace your fuses see if they blow if not turn one thing at a time on till something happens

Changed radio instramentpanel gages lights went dead

You probably touched a wire wrong and blew the fuse for nighttime illumination, same fuse that lights up the dash. Also, you might've hooked up the vehicle illumination wire wrong in the back of the new radio, causing a short and the fuse blew

I installed a cd player in my car about 2 months ago. It wasnt the greatest installation, as I had an extra wire not going to anything, and the cd player would occasionally short out, and i would have to...

Sounds like you wired the cd player to the tail light fuse and the power wire touched ground. Go to the fuse panel inside the car and check the fuses. The tail lamp one and possibly also the dash light fuses will be blown, replace them after disconnecting the cd player power wires and taping off where they were connected. If you have the factory harness for the original radio still in the dash you can get a wiring harness to directly plug into it from walmart. If you don't have the original harness , the easiest way to power the cd is to tap the cigarette lighter wire.

Dash lights and gages

There is usually 2 fuse boxes 1 that is under the hood and 1 next to the drivers side kick panel. If not that check that all your computers are working by testing them with a tester from a auto parts place or someone that may have one that will let you borrow.

No head lights no tail lights no horn

it's one of your fuses that burned out. buy a fuse tester at any auto parts and test all your fuses. when lights and horns fail as a group, it's usualy the fuse that protects these multiple parts that's gone bad.
