Airbac & Seatbelt lights on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004

My Airbag and my seatbelt lights are on, this happened after I was installing a New Radio system, and the fuse for the rasio blew burnt, after replacing it I noticed that those 2 lights where showing, I had taken the Battery out for about 12 hrs and thinking it might reset it didn't, it seems to be a fuse or something but I can't find it. Although we are not profeccionals if we are asking is because once we find out what it is we can fix it, previous responce didn't help at all. I'm a Computer Analyst and Electronics certified, but not on Vehicles although I can learn, this is why I'm asking, If I can fix it myself, I rather do it.
Thank You.

Check closely for more blown fuses, either under dash, or in fuse/relay box under hood.

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was in an accident. I have replaced both airbags, the clockspring and the airbag module. The airbag light is still on.

If it has a pretentioner and it's not plugged in find the wires and plug them in but you already know that, sometimes scanners can be wrong depending on the nfo loaded into it. Does the seatbelt light and buzzer work? If yes start looking at the crash sensors if equipped. I hope this helps. Take care.

2002 jeep grand cherokee both seatbelt and airbag light came on at same time what causes this?

Hi, Do the lights go out after a few seconds or so? The checking system is doing its job. You may need to check the relays time after time for bad connections and corrosion on terminals. Good luck.

Airbag and seatbelt light stay on in 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The lights randomly came on for no reason.

Just recently, I inadvertently removed the yellow doohickey that holds the 2 x 10 amp fuses in the interior fuse bank of my 2002 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I checked the fuses and they were ok so I inserted the fuse holder back in.. Low and behold the seatbelt and airbag light came on and stayed on. After several quick fixes etc to get the lights to go out, I finally returned to the fuse holder and discovered that A. You need to squeeze in the tabs to get the fuse holder out and B. the fuse holder when being re-inserted will not automatically clip in... you have to squeeze the tabs again to press the fuse holder fully home. I started the old girl up again and no more lights.

Warning light came on this morning, figure of a man with the seatbelt. What does this indicate?

This is the seatbelt indicator, its not seeing that your seatbelt is fastened ifthe light stays on and the chime keeps going off.

There is a switch inthe seatbelt that closes when the seatbelt is buckled, and if not, thelight stays on and the chime goes off.

There are a couple reasons thiscould happen. It could be a wiring issue going to the seatbelt buckle,or more likely the buckle itself. Your truck is pretty new, so if youare under 36,000 miles the repair would normally be covered underwarranty.

Also, I suggest check the Repair Manual for Jeep-WK-Grand-Cherokee-Section-08O-Restraints (page 473 and next, for Seat Belt)

Hope helps with this (remember rated this) Good luck.

Abs light comes on every so often!

if you insist on having an airbag that works, replace the sensor which is under the console next to the seatbelt buckle. on the 2006 it is a little black box. the console is easy to remove look it up on the internet.

AIR BAG LIGHT AND CHIME RINGS PERIODICALLY

I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee Limited and Had similar problem. Found out that a wire/connection harness had gotten cut under PASSENGER seat.from seats moving back and forth. It's part of the airbag system, it tells airbag system if seatbelt is fastened and if occupant is in seat. Since the wire is broken, it can't report back to air back system and activates the light. try this, hope it helps.

Airbag light jeep cheroke laredo 2004

The issue would not be related to a fuse. There is a fault in the airbag system somewhere, and your airbags are not operational at this time. The issue may be related to the seatbelts, but if you don't understand the airbag system it is best left to a professional. Airbags save lives, but can also be deadly if you don't know what you're doing.

Are you using the seatbelts?
The airbag light is on because there is a problem with the system.
PLEASE do not try to fix the airbag problem yourself.
You could accidently activate the bag and get hurt.
