About 100 feet engine died. Fluids full, no noise but dead. Replaced battery and starter now shop says engine seized. Hard to believe a engine seized, anyone heard of this before??? We are stumped and don't want any unnecessary expenses.....
Take out the spark plugs. On the front of the motor is a pulley that runs off the crankshaft.Put a socket on the bolt in the middle of the pulley.See if you can turn the motor a little bit.If you can,the motor is not seized. There is a few different things that it could be, but checking that the motor is not seized is the place to start. And the cheapest. There is many things that may have happened but some shops fail to find them.Or fail to look properly.Hope this helps.
Try taking plugs out and turn it over if its turning over then you have a injector leaking im assuming it wont turn at all even with a wrench

The Engine could have seized but if the fluids are full before this happened than that is rare. Sounds strange that the shop would not be able determine the problem before replacing a battery and starter. I would get the shop to explain or show you more. What was the story of the incident when the car died. Just need more details of sounds and how it acted.
