1999 Honda Accord ac makes loud noise on med or high

My 1999 Honda Accord makes a loud noise when the air conditioner is turned up on med or high

Could you please describe the noise and where it seems to be coming from? Charlie

It sounds like, "varoom" and it sounds like it might be coming from the engine or somewhere under the hood.

So does mine, when you set the temperature you want the automatic temp control runs at high speed to either reduce or increase temp but should reach temp required within about 5 minutes.

2008 Honda Odyssey AC fan works on low and med speeds but no high speed blower

There should be a high speed blower relay that bypasses the resistor for slower speeds.
Check with an auto parts store or the dealer.

Air conditioner makes noises after it starts

I do not think that the battery change and the noise for the a/c is related, probably just a coincidence.

If the a/c makes a loud noise when it is turned up, I would try switching to vent to see if the noise is still there. If it is, then it is the ventilation fan likely located on the firewall or under the dash under some plastic paneling.

There is no reset button for the a/c.

Good luck on this repair.

Blower on the air conditioner makes a loud noise when it's turned up high

My blower was making a terrible noise that got louder with higher fan speeds. Air flow was very low also. I removed the blower motor (located under the glove box; secured by three screws and a snap off electrical connector) and removed a large amount of hair and debris from the fan. This was about a 10 minute job and everything is normal now.

Humming noise under the hood

It could be the ABS. MY HONDA DOES THE SAME THING.
I took it to PepBoys yesterday and they could not connect to the
computer interface. They said I need to take it to a honda dealer
so they can connect and determine what is wrong with the
Automatic breaking system. The noise is the ABS motor
turning on and off.
