cam/crankshaft sensor? plug wires, coil? Has to be coil, wire, plug, ignition module, distributer / cap/ rotory button inside cap. You can find faulty coils bought new. New autoparts can be shipped from factory with defect.
Not sure if I am following you right. The engine has 3 coils that fire the plugs. The coils are mounted on a module that provides voltage and ground to the coils. The module gets power from a 20amp fuse marked "Inj" for injector. The computer controls the module based on info from the various sensors. A mechanic would do a pin test on the module to diagnose a no spark condition.
If you had a shorted ignition coil, it may have damaged the ignition module.Take a coil pack from another spot, plug it in just be sure your new one is good.if it still won't spark replace the module.I've seen these that won't spark cold but run ok hot.You can try to heat the module with a hair drier to see if you get it to work, but even if it does you still need a module...good luck
