Also.  If my 200 audi a4 has been in park or i have been at a red light for awhile, then drive large amount of smoke comes out of exhaust. took it in muiltiple times but nothing has worked.  Help n that would be great aswell!!  Thank You!!

First, goto walmart and get a fuel system cleaning for $20. THat is that cheapest and easiest first thing to try to fix the rough idle. Second, what color is the smoke? If it is black then it is excess fuel building up causing the rough idle. If it is blue then it's burning oil and buildingup at idle. If it is white then you are burning coolant and that could also be building up at idle.

Bad vibration when in gear but idle speed

I'm not sure exactly which vehicle you have so I'll try to be genera yet as specific as possible to help you determine the problem. I'm assuming here its a Gas Fuel engine.

1.) if its a carburetor type engine, You may need to adjust the RPM to increase or lower the Idle. Its commonly called the Ideal screw and adjust the air fuel ratio to stabilize the engine fuel mixture to increase the RPM.. its found on the Carburetor.

2.) ts fuel injected you will need to adjust the throttle body position to archive the same effect.

if it has a distributor , you can turn the distributor as well to adjust the RPM.

rough idling is usually caused by Mounts, since you changed yours the next most likely issue is the RPM itself or idling speed / rpm. If its to low you ill have that issue.

other possible cause is the distributor points (if any).. bad plugs, bad plug wires.. but those cause other issues while driving as well.

Its a 2002 audi A4, the mis firing occurs when am driving, and the vibration occurs mostly when the car is in park or I stop on the road

sound like a coil packed up on one of the cylinders or a sparkplug or a sparkplug lead if there is no coil packs.the vibration will be there when is idling because of misfiring.hope this helps

Is there any way to make a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T idle better. The engine has alot of vibration at idle. Having owned many different cars of all makes, I am surprised at such an unrefined german power plant.

Fairly often, simple replacement of your airfilter and sparkplugs can significantly reduce vibration. Othertimes, its more of an electrical issue involving the computer system.

mcdevito75 here, A vibration while idleing is not really normal, a rough idle could be many things, wrong octane gas, dirty gas filter, dirty smog controls. Have your local shop take a look for you.

AUDI A4.24 SLIGHT VEHICLE VIBRATION

If your engine is not misfiring but it vibrates too much while idling your motor mounts might be getting worn out. I had a Nissan with bad motor mounts. I was ok in park but when you put it in gear it vibrated a lot. It smoothed right out as soon as you started moving.
