Is this a factory stereo or an aftermarket kind?
If you have a speaker and some wires why not connect them to see that it works? Sometimes the amplifier inside the radio maybe bad. Bench test it first to confirm. If you confirm the amplifier inside is no good, you have two option. Ones is the dissolder the amp inside and replace it, or just use the audio output with rca connectors, and buy a seperate amp that has for channells. Preferably the kind with two input but you can connect four speakers. Remember to bench test the radio first. Meaning test it outside the car on a table. Get you some wires and a battery, and at least one speaker. The reason for a bench test is you can shed some light into wether the radio is the problem. Note that if you decided to change the amp chip inside the radio, it is not very easy, you will need desoldering wick a soldering iron and some solders. Also the part probably cost somewhere around 20 bucks, and an electronic parts store may have to order them which could take up to two weeks to arrive. If an electronic parts store have them availble that would be good.

It is a vrvd640G. I have had 2 people try and fix it and it just won't work.
It is an aftermarket kind.
I can get power to the stereo but I get no sound. I have a wire stereo adapter for a 2002 Dodge Durango.
