SOURCE: van wont start
I had a similiar problem recently. The car would not start and no sign of life no lights etc. I jump started it acouple of times but then even this did not work. It would jump start but right after the cables are disconnected it would stop. We checked the battery it was good. Turned out it was the alternator. It was not working properley so the system was not charging itself or even when it starts was not generating enough energy to keep it going. Changed the alternator, never had the same problem again. You can have your battery and alternator checked at an autozone shop for free.
SOURCE: steering system
This is caused by the power steering pump, the only way to correct it is to flush the power steering system and replace the pump
SOURCE: Battery goes dead often. Must jump or charge almost everyday
perhaps your problem is not so complicated. maybe one of your vanity mirror lights arent shutting off or something. go out in your car at night and look for light after your dome light shuts off.

I experienced similar problem, all electrical functions are working but engine does not start, the problem was the strat coil (I guess the right name is the "start up motor") which did not activate, so the shaft does not engage with the engine. In this case I did not heared any sound, only the fuel pump while turning the car key. I hit softly the coil body (start up motor) and then started the car. I had to replace the coil for a new one and the problem was permanently fixed (around 10 months already since then).
I Hope this help.
