Replacing battery My husband recently replaced a dead battery on his 1998 chevy camaro. The only problem is that as soon as he goes to plug the battery up the alarm is sounding off. On top of that he can turn the ignition to the 1st setting, but can't completely turn the vehicle on. It gives him a security breach code on his dash. What can he do to reset that security code to be able to tuen on the car?

This worked with my truck, hopefully it will with the Camaro:
Connect the battery cables, if you have a key fob for the alarm, press it to turn it off. Use the key to lock and unlock the door. My alarm isn't as new as yours, and was an aftermarket one, so it might not work, and you may have already tried this, but it's worth a shot if you didn't.
Is it a factory installed system or aftermarket? Re-post the question if it doesn't work so someone else can help. Good luck.

A flashing check engine light indicates active engine misfire. There should be codes set for these conditions. It could be low fuel pressure, but if you have not replaced the spark plugs and wires, I would look there. Failed ignition coils or ignition module can be culprits. Also plugged exhaust (catalytic converters) could be to blame as well. To test the catalytic converters, remove the oxygen sensors between the engine and converters and go for a drive. You can also unbolt the converters and run open exhaust. It will be loud, but if performance improves and normalizes, your exhaust is plugged and you will need to replace the converters.

95 chevy camaro with pass key will not start. Replaced key and it started. Later it did not start. What's going on? What are some things to try?

If it's the same as the VATS system in my 86 Corvette (resistor pellet in key) the ignition switch might need to be replaced. The contacts on the key wore low, replacing the key helped for a short time but the new contacts wore the switch down faster then it too needed to be replaced. $200!
