I need a wiring diagram for the rear window wiper on a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have power to it when the switch is on but it will not work. The only power to the wiring plug is when the switch is on and only in the one wire. Can you help?

you have a worn gear inside your wiper motor and it needs replacing

have no idea of resistances i just hot wire these things to test ,your getting to technical here ,if no power to motor then check the wires inside the rubber boot that goes from the rear tailgate to the body ,this is a common fault as wires get trapped and broke

with the windows it obviously is something common to all four and the first item I would check is the fuse. Interior lights are controlled by the headlight switch and a worn switch can be the problem. If these are not the problem than I would want to check the wiring, specifically the ground. Ditto for the rear wiper. Fuse first. Switch second. Wiring third.

follow the wires ,there is a short

the little pump inside the washer fluid reservoir is bad, replace it

Check ground wire on wiring harness to wiper motor. If ground is good you need a wiper switch. Good
