It's not quite as simple as it seems. There are multiple hidden bolts and the plastic diverter to the passenger's side floor board is attached to the lower cover. It's a tedious process but the whole cover should be removed. Upper and lower. It's pretty much the only way to get to the 8 mm bolts on the inside that hold the diverter/door into place.
remove the door panel and drill the rivets that are holding the motor and remove the nuts that hold the track the i think the track and the motor are one piece if you don't have a rivet gun you can use nuts and bolts instead
Remove the wiper arms (pop off the caps at the base) and the 15mm nut. Take out the screws that hold down the wind
shield cowl lift it away to expose the washer hoses. Unplug the wiper motor (center driver's side) by pulling
out the red clip on it and squeezing the tab. Remove the 13mm nut from the wiper motor idler arm and take
out the 3 10mm bolts that hold it in place. Squeeze it out from under the wiper transmission, or loosen the lower bolts. You'll see them. Not a difficult job, just take your time.
