It might be an injector problem.Sometimes if the injectors are not sealing properly they can leak fuel into the manifold even when the engine is off as there is still residual pressure there and you engine would be essentially' flooded' when you try start it again .After half an hour or so,and it would take some seconds after that to run normally untill the excess fuel is burned.

Have them checked and replaced if needed.

Please leave positive feedback if I have helped

Thanks

Fuel returning to the tank. Get a fuel line non return valve cut the fuel line and connect it up. The origional one is probably in the tank lot of work to replace and any accessory shop should have one.

How do I Reset ECU on 2002 RangeRover?

Hi Lisa , you can reset by disconnecting the battery cables an holding the cable ends together for 10 min. If you have a check engine light on an there is a fault code this won't work , it will go out but will come back on . Maybe right away or after two or three drive cycles ,that's from cold start . sitting over night or eight hours sitting .

2002 vue v6...starts and runs well however when I stop , shut off the engine, then try to start after half hour , it wont start

Lookfor a light on the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT. If you see this light, that is a sign of a failed or failing antitheft system, which will disable your vehicle. This link explains

Hi im having start up issues with my honda cr-v 2002- rd5 series. I would drive for some time and when i stop and return the vehicle would not start, i have to wait atleast 30 min before i start. Though...

If the occasional fail to start increases more often with temperature, that is outside temp or inside temp if the car is sitting in the sun, the saturday morning "cartalk" guys on NPR repeatedly say that Honda has a problem with a fuel pump relay which sits up under the dash. It goes bad and this generally happens with a hot day or a hot interior. So maybe you want to give that a shot.

Audi TT 3.2 2005 Starter Motor Not Engaging

Could it be that your battery is too weak to turn the starter, some batteries will drain after sitting awhile, even if it's fairly new, happen to me when I use to let my truck sit about a few weeks. But my other truck never did it,both batteries were fairly new.

2002 audi a4 1.8t heat problem.

most likely a air bubble in your system. get it up to temp open up your reservoir use something that will fit in the opening and put coolant into it rev engine up a bit until you see bubbles coming up. when you did the engine did you replace cooling system parts like t-stat or water pump? purging the system of air will take a little while good luck hope that helps

2002 start-up problem

Hi there again

Sorry to hear you are still having problems. If you are going to change the pump I would certainly not recommend you do it yourself. If it is the V4 motor I am thinking of, you would need to get to it by removing the rear seat ,remove access panel , and pretty much play around in the gas for an hour or so to get it off in the first place.

What I did find was this on the net on a recall by Audi to replace 2002/03 model fuel pumps as noted below.

RE: 2002 Audi A4 Fuel Pump Change:

I just had my fuel pump changed out by the dealer. Here is what the letter said-

"Safety Recall JL 2003 year Audi A4 quattro with 1.8L Turbo or 3.0L engine and 2003 Model year Audi A6 with 3.0L engine"
The fuel pump on some affected vehicles may contain a carbon brush set that is susceptible to premature wear.

On invoice it says-

JL12 Install fuel delivery unit and sealing washer.
1 8E0-919-133-G Washer
1 8E0-906-087-P Fuel Pump

No charge for unit or install. Just call them up and give the vin number to see if your car is affected. On the other note of your code error '1&3 misfire',try and have it re-set (it might be an old error)and see if it comes back. Hope this helps ,and I will research your problem further with pleasure if need more help.
